Kitami Ropa began to help improve the image and confidence of men and women. The founder, Tara Kitami, envisioned helping people feel and look their very best everyday. With 15 years experience in the Fashion Industry she has been an industry leader for generations. Tara has catered to both men and women working in various positions. It all started when she was a young girl bringing her Barbie's to her mothers hair salon to style them. At the young age of 11 she was running the front desk and assisting hair stylists in creating phenomenal looks. By the time Tara was 15 she was working in a large department store. With her original style and friendly demeanor, a promotion came quickly. This was the beginning of her new found love. Tara obtained a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising while working full time running her mothers clothing boutique in Noe Valley. Tara showed her perseverance when she accomplished all this while being a single mother.  After graduating from FIDM an opportunity came about to be an assistant buyer at the most successful women’s clothing boutique in San Francisco. During this time the French American Chamber of Commerce asked her to produce a fashion show for the annual Beaujolais and Beyond event.  Tara loves taking on too much so she accepted both offers executing both with excellence. She moved on to be the Head Buyer and General Manager at a city renowned women’s clothing store. Among her years in the industry Tara shopped for individuals, merchandised stores, produced events, managed fashion teams, conducted photo shoots, and traveled around the world to find amazing styles and trends. The demand grew to start her own company to extend individual and unique services. Tara is passionate  in guiding each client to find their own individual style and confidence.
